“Isn’t it strange how the world works sometimes? It’s never a matter of time, but a matter of timing.”
The Seven Year Slip is a novel by Ashely Poston. Clementine plans to move on from the worst day of her life: work hard, find someone to love, and always try to remember to chase the moon. The last of those may be metaphorical, but her late aunt always taught her the importance of having big dreams. Then, she finds a man in her aunt’s kitchen. He’s the sort of man she would have fallen head over heels for. The only problem? He lives seven years in the past, meaning she lives seven years in his future. Her aunt said the apartment was a pinch in time, where moments bend seamlessly. Clementine knows that, if she lets her heart drive her head, she’ll be doomed.
